Our Mission

is to spread love, mindfulness, and connection — one bead, one soul, and one intention at a time.

The Heart Behind Aum Mala

Where devotion becomes design.

Aum Mala began during a time of deep change in my life. When my mother became ill, a gifted Rudraksha mala became my anchor — a source of comfort, grounding, and quiet strength. After her passing, that same mala broke, gently marking the beginning of a new chapter and showing me how these beads hold energy, memory, and meaning.

As I continued my journey as a yoga and meditation teacher, I watched others naturally gravitate toward malas that mirrored their own stories. This path led me to Soma, the founder of Aum Rudraksha, where a shared devotion to sacred craft gave life to Aum Mala.

Each mala is ethically handcrafted with sustainably harvested Rudraksha and natural gemstones — created with intention, respect for the Earth, and love for the practice. Our pieces are made to be meaningful and accessible: quiet companions that support meditation, carry intention, and embody compassion, balance, and inner peace.

Through Aum Mala, I hope to share the guidance that carried me — calm in chaos, beauty in simplicity, and meaning in every moment.

At its heart, Aum Mala exists to spread love, mindfulness, and connection — one bead, one soul, and one intention at a time.

Wear the Wisdom. Share the Peace.

With love,
Bita

The Journey of our Malas

It begins with a seed.

Every Aum Mala starts long before the first bead is strung — it begins as a living seed on the island of Bali. Rudraksha trees grow slowly and deliberately, their branches carrying the weight of generations of care. These sacred seeds are gathered at the perfect moment of ripeness by families who have tended this land for decades. Each seed is touched by nature’s rhythm: warm sunlight, island rains, and the patient passage of time. This is the beginning of its journey — from earth to intention.

Honoring the land that shapes the bead.

On small family farms, harvesting Rudraksha is an act rooted in respect. The seeds are collected gently, sorted by hand, and rinsed with clear water drawn from the mountains. They are then laid out to dry under open sky — never rushed, never forced — allowing the natural texture and character of each bead to reveal itself. The farmers who tend these trees pass down knowledge that isn’t written in books: when the seed is ready, how the earth must be cared for, and why each harvest is considered a blessing. This slow, thoughtful process is the foundation of every Aum Mala.

Crafted through prayerful hands.

After the seeds are prepared, they enter the hands of our artisans — individuals who treat their craft as a meditative practice. Each mala is strung bead by bead, knot by knot, with a level of presence that feels like breathwork. The artisans work in quiet focus, infusing every step with intention. They measure the spacing, test the balance, and ensure the mala drapes with harmony and ease. This is the moment where raw materials transform: not just assembled, but awakened through human touch, devotion, and patience.

Where the mala becomes whole.

The final stage brings everything together — the seed, the land, the hands, the energy. The tassel is bound, the last knot is secured, and the mala takes its completed form. What was once a seed held by the earth becomes an object meant to hold intention for whoever carries it. Each finished mala embodies the journey it has traveled: from Bali’s soil, through the artisan’s mindful process, into a creation ready for ritual, meditation, and everyday grounding. This is the moment it becomes yours to hold.
